Malta Camp Prayer

Lord Jesus, You have seen fit to enlist me for Your service during the Maltacamp in Javier, Spain.

I humbly entreat You, through the intercession of the most Holy Virgin of Philermo, of St. John the Baptist, St. James, Saint Francis Xavier, Blessed Gerard, and all the saints, to keep me faithful so that I may serve all those attending the camp with charity, joy and devotion. Help me to grow in faith, hope and love. May I practice the corporal and spiritual works of mercy and see all as beloved children of God.

May all those present at camp: Guests, helpers and visitors come ever closer to You and Your Blessed Mother. Lord show me Your paths, help me to rise and walk the way that you have chosen for me. May the camp be ‘ad maiorem Dei gloriam’ for Your greater glory.

Give me the strength I need, to carry out this my resolve, forgetful of myself, learning ever from Your Holy Gospel a spirit of deep and generous Christian devotion, striving ever to promote God’s Glory, the world’s peace and the healing and happiness of Our Guests.

Chaplains' Handbook

The spiritual preparation for Malta Camp will be decisive for its fruit. Therefore, it is not only a matter of being present, but of sowing in the hearts of our young volunteers. Accompanying them, listening to them, helping them to discover the living and risen Lord will make this camp fruitful in joy and gladness, but also in holiness and Christian virtues.
With this desire, we propose a simple prior itinerary, structured in three meetings, so that, with hearts afire like that of Saint Francis Xavier, we may together take up this mission looking at service, at poverty, and at the spirit of holiness.
