Users may make donations through the Website by following the procedure and using the payment methods indicated in the “Collaborate” section. Once donations are accepted by the Order of Malta, they become irrevocable, without prejudice to the provisions of civil law governing the revocation of donations.
Through our portal, two types of donations can be made: one-time donations and recurring donations.
If the donor wishes to make recurring donations, they may select both the amount and the frequency of the donation, which can be monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. By selecting this type of donation, the donor authorizes the Order of Malta to charge their account for the selected amount and frequency. The donor may stop their contributions at any time by giving sufficient notice via email to info@ordendemalta.es.
The donor must provide their personal identification details and agrees to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information about their identity.
All communications, purchase orders, and payments involved in the donation process may be stored and kept in the Order of Malta’s computerized records as proof of the transactions, always respecting reasonable security conditions and applicable laws and regulations.

The Order of Malta accepts the following payment methods for donations:
If the donation is made by credit or debit card, the User will be redirected to the secure payment system website, where they will be asked to provide their card details: card number and expiration date. The virtual POS page uses a security protocol to ensure the confidentiality of the information provided. The following card types are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, and Visa Electron.
The Order of Malta will have access to the donor’s card data, as well as the payment processing entity, for the purpose of managing payments and collections. Credit cards are subject to verification and authorization by the issuing bank.
If the donation is made via PayPal, the payment will be processed online in real time through PayPal’s payment gateway, once the provided data has been verified. Confidential data (credit card number, expiration date, and CVV) is not sent to the Order of Malta but is transmitted directly and securely to PayPal’s server, without the Order of Malta having access to this information.
Bank transfers are only accepted for one-time donations. To do this, the User must complete the corresponding form with their details—including the email address to which the receipt will be sent—and only after completing the required fields will access to the Order of Malta’s IBAN be provided.
If these entities do not authorize the payment, the Order of Malta is not responsible for the failure to complete the donation. The User must notify the Order of Malta as soon as possible, by email or phone, of any unauthorized, erroneous, or fraudulent charges observed on the card used to make the donation on the Website.
ORDER OF MALTA SPAIN offers users the option to donate via mobile phone using two short codes (28014 and 38014), a charity SMS service operated by Altiria TIC (www.altiria.com) and the Spanish Fundraising Association (www.aefundraising.org), customer service number: 902 00 28 98, P.O. Box 36059, 28080 Madrid. This service is available for Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, Yoigo, and Euskaltel.
ORDER OF MALTA SPAIN DOES NOT OPERATE SUBSCRIPTION SHORT CODES. Sending a message to any of these numbers constitutes a one-time donation. To donate again, the user must send a new SMS.

ORDER OF MALTA SPAIN will send a free confirmation message acknowledging receipt of the donation and thanking the user for their support.
By completing these steps, the user will have made a one-time donation of €1.20.

How it works:
Users must send an SMS from their mobile phone to 38014 with the keyword specified for the campaign they wish to support (e.g., “Send MALTA to 38014”).
The user will receive a message from ORDER OF MALTA SPAIN requesting confirmation of the €3.00 donation.
To confirm and complete the donation, the user must reply with the word “YES” to this message. If the user does not reply, the donation will not be processed, and no charge will appear on their bill.
Once the user confirms by replying “YES,” ORDER OF MALTA SPAIN will send a free confirmation message acknowledging the €3.00 donation and thanking the user for their support.
By completing these steps, the user will have made a one-time donation of €3.00.
By sending an SMS, the user becomes part of the ORDER OF MALTA SPAIN database and accepts the Personal Data Protection and Communication Policies, authorizing ORDER OF MALTA SPAIN to use their data to contact them for collaboration purposes related to its mission.
